How To Choose Harddisk

Most people do not understand the problem of HDD (Hard Disk drive). They only know the size and space, or trademark only, but does not see the other subject.
Therefore, what things are considered in choosing to buy harddisk?

Following tips are things that need to be consider to choose the right harddisk.
1. Size (Size)
To the size of a standard market around 80-120 GB. but I suggest to choose a higher demand because of the larger data.
2. PATA or SATA
I further recommend to select SATA (serial ATA) instead of PATA (Parallel ATA), because of several factors, for example the transfer speed is faster SATA (150MB per second) and use the SATA cable is smaller so that airflow in the PC casing does not interfere.
3. Speed or speed play
Hard Disk (Hard disk) is rotated by a motor with speed. The HDD motor speed is of course also read more quickly. It has a 7200rpm (rotation per minute) and also have a 10,000 rpm.
4. Buffer Memory
The last thing this is also important. Many buyers didn't realize this . Before HDD processing data, HDD always used to go to the Buffer Memory (like RAM) that are on the HDD controller. This is done to prevent a long queue in the HDD. The larger buffer size of the HDD, it will be the better reading or writing data faster.

I hope this tips can help you to choose the right Harddsk Drive.
