What is CMOS battery?. This is a tiny device at motherboard but able to create a computer system to run smoothly. Following tips will explain how to find out about CMOS battery damage
CMOS battery is a battery that is located on the motherboard body, such as a battery of you general battery watch, but have a wider dimension. You can see CMOS battery problem with the characteristics as follows:
1.When you switched on your computer, you got message 'CMOS checksum error'
The time will remain changing time after time however you have tried to change it to recent time (either in bios or after entry into the system).
2.Computer does not work at all when switched on. Not have any warnings that appear, there is no beep sound at all and the screen does not display any posts anything
You can overcome this problem with the following steps:
Clear the CMOS do the work to restore the bios settings to default conditions (the standard default manufacturer). Can be done with 2 ways namely:
- Disconnect the battery from its place. About ± 5-10 minutes after that, please re-install the battery
- Moving the position of jumpers on the motherboard. To facilitate this operation, you can see on the motherboard guide
Check the CMOS battery holder on the motherboard to avoid the less fit the holder, too loose, and so forth.
If all the steps above does not give you results then you should replace the CMOS battery. When buying a new one you have to know the battery type, because each type has a different number, especially in the serial that is located on the battery itself.

Tips For AMD Based Motherboards

If you use motherboards based on AMD (AMD processor use), this following tips can help you to keep the motherboard live longer, especially if you want to do overclock.
The amount of heat generated by the device-based AMD is still a major trigger the occurrence of various problems.
AMD-based motherboard use AMD processors as well, such as Duron, Athlon and Phenom. For maintenance steps, you can do the following tips:
Use fan / fan casing additional
Hot, yes that is the right reason to use the additional fan casing. Use fan casing will help cooling motherboard and processor too. This also will reduce heat inside casing itself. Usually there are 1 - 3 places at the casing to install the fan, a good casng front or behind. You can get the fan from a computer store.
Motherboard condition
Notice on your motherboard, if the conductor (like capsule form) is starting bloom then ready to change / switch your motherboard, because it's shows the strength of the motherboard is running low. Fast or slow, your motherboard will be 'retiring'.
Alert to overclock
Overclocking is to increase the ability of a device 'excess capacity'. Suppose your processor speed 2.0 GHz, you can overclock it to 2.3 Ghz, 2.5 Ghz, and so forth. In other words, overclocking is a 'force' to device's ability to work above normal.
If you want to overclock (processors for instance), look to the other components, including Motherboards, VGA Card/Graphic Card or Memory/RAM. The action will make overclocking of the other components. You must aware that the temperature in the motherboard already high. Many problems may arise. You must see in the guide first, what should you do if you want to overclock, follow the manufacturer's recommendation.
Monitoring Processor Performance

Processor is the core of the computer device to process the duty of all programs run by the computer. We can monitor the performance of the processor so we know how hard processor doing processing data.
There is a trick so that we can monitor the performance of the processor more easily, even in real-time. The way is as follows:
1. Open the Windows Task Manager button from the Ctrl + Alt + Del (the buttons are pressed together)
2. Click the "Options" menu, then activate checklist on the "Minimize On Use"
3. After that click the "Minimize"
View on the systray (area near the clock, at the right corner the computer (below)), there is the green icon. If we put cursor (arrow) over the icon will appear from the performance of processors that are used with the CPU Usage: 50% for example. This way we can monitor the use of processors in more easily and efficiently.
Cache Technology at Processor
If we look at a specification of the processor will find a term, called a cache. What is Cache? Cache has a function that has a significant role in determining the performance of a computer. When we know what is processor cache, then we will be able to improve the performance of the computer.
Cache can be defined as a space on the processor that functions as a 'place where the data are often used,' the effect the performance of the computer will work faster. The big cache and a faster processor performance because it provides more storage space is large. Average processors now have a large L2 Cache, between 2 - 8 Mb, and even processor Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 has a L2 Cache of 12 MB.
Cache in some type, ranging from 1 Cache (L1 Cache), 2 cache (L2 Cache) up to 3 cache (L3 cache). L1 cache is the cache closest to the processor so that it is the fastest way to execute the data.
When we are operating the computer data from hard drives, the data will be moved to memory / RAM, and data from the memory / RAM will also be moved to the cache on the processor. Please note that, if viewed in terms of the speed of access by the processor, the data retrieved from the hard drive is the most slowly, followed by the memory / RAM, and to the L3 cache, L2 cache and L1 cache to the last.
As a comparison, the time needed by the processor to access data from the L2 cache has a speed of 2 - 3 times when compared with the taking of memory / RAM. Because of that, the technology in the processor cache holds a relatively important role in determining the speed of data access.
How To Overcome Overheat Processor

The high temperature of the processor can be a major trigger to be a computer problem. Following tips will explain how to treat the processor in order to have a stable and optimal performance, and also not overheat quick.
Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease
Thermal Paste / Thermal Grease is a material (shaped like a gel) that serves to lift the heat from the processor to the heatsinks. See the function of the existence of Thermal Paste is very important. Make sure the top of the processor you have to be oiled this thermal paste. For information, thermal paste is colored silver / white, but silver has better quality than the white.
Position Casing
Your computer casing must be at the place that has good air circulation. Position of the casing at poor air circulation will trigger the high temperature inside the casing hardware components, especially processors. You can set the computer room where you are
Heatsinks and Fan
Rearrange cable at casing, especially with the type of ATA cable because this type has a relatively large size and width when compared with the SATA cable.
Open the casing cover
If you use a personal computer (not for public use), you can open the casing cover (either the right or left). This is quite effective to reinforce air circulation in the casing. But this can reduce the aesthetic value because the casing will be less than harmonious and its hardware components become visible. But if you place your case under a table or at a corner then you can try it out so it does not reduce the value of aesthetics.
Hope this help to overcome processor overheat .

How To Repair Monitor (Common Tips)

If we have used monitor for several months or several years our monitor get damaged.
An easy way to fix a computer monitor that is to check the flow of electricity to power a series of ration monitor, then to the distribution chain as follows:
[1]. Open a closed back monitor that looks at all the components and equipment affordable by workshop as multimeter, toolset, and other tools. Be careful with the monitor is open, especially at the time of electricity entering the series, because there are extra high voltage of 16,000 volt to 30,000 volt is harmful to the human body.
[2]. Prepare the Multimeter to measure the incoming AC voltage at a series of ration power monitor, normally will be measured, large 220 volt. Continue to measure the voltage on the DC power to remove the portion of DC series monitor on each monitor different brands and types of different magnitude according to the design of each plant. Use the scheme in accordance with the type of monitor being correct, the scheme can get you in the manual full package when buying a monitor.
[3]. Measure the voltage power connectors in the horizontal output transistor, generally equal to 90 Volt DC on normal condition. This voltage show a working conditions of high voltage that can turn the picture tube. When the voltage is down to half, can be sure there is damage to the series of horizontal, replace with a new power transistor. To replace the power transistor is a new type should use the exact same, except if it is not possible then can replace the transistor with others who are similar and higher voltage rating.
[4]. Turn up or down light intensity (brigthness) on the front panel to monitor the position of the maximum. See the reaction on the picture tube, when no change in check around a series of extra high voltage transformer. This needs to be done to check whether the transformer can still generate extra high voltage to set the picture tube.
[5]. Also check the capacitors that connect the high voltage transformer with the ground. Remove this capacitor with a multimeter and measure, if there is leakage change with the new capacitors. Capacitors that are dry will alter the value of capacity and result in changing impedance will affect the extra-high voltage transformer which can not generate voltage as needed, this will be visible on the screen that bleak, dim, or the brightness does not work.
[6]. After all the components that were damaged in the new change, to try to turn on the computer monitor in the new program with the correct diagnosis. Diagnosis Program is run in a special test on the menu display can be made in the guidelines to improve the computer monitor, such as check-It, QAPlus, PC-Technician, JC, Bench, and so forth.
Remember, above tips are just common tips. If you still got errors, the easy ways is bring your monitor to your friend or colleague who knows better about monitor.
